Horrible experience. I've been a customer with Markwood/Weimer since 2005, and this is first time I've been treated so badly by a service rep.
My car supposedly failed inspection because of "dry cracks" in the tires. The service rep, Amber Marlow, told me that now the dealership fails even the most minor infraction due to "the state only doing inspections every two years--they're more strict." She did not discuss my tire purchasing options with me and instead selected the tires for me, said she was going to order them, but gave me no idea when the tires would arrive or when I could have the tires replaced and my car re-inspected. She did not discuss price options with me, either. The cost of the new tires takes a significant financial toll, and knowing what options I had would have been appreciated. Amber kept saying "You have five days." I asked if the tires could be replaced on Tuesday, because I need to rearrange my work schedule, and she simply said "They should be." This rep barely answered any of my questions, nor did she explain new state inspection laws, etc.
My brother is a service rep for BMW and he inspected the tires on Saturday, 28 March. He said that the tires should not have warranted a failure and would have lasted me until Fall 2026, and that I should have been given the option to buy new tires, have them replaced, and to then have the new inspection sticker placed.
Also, when I first brought in the car, Amber told the service manager that she wanted to "go check the mileage and go outside because I can vape." Again, very unprofessional. Some of us do not want vape smell in our vehicles, and admitting that in front of a customer is very offensive and off-putting.
When I called Weimer on Monday, 30 March 2026, the service rep I usually work with (and trust highly), Matt, informed me that the tires had not been ordered. Matt, thankfully, began working to have the tires ordered and to schedule a replacement date. I want to highly commend Matt for always being helpful, supportive, and professional. Anytime there is an issue with my vehicle, Matt explains it clearly and provides a variety of options. Regarding this matter, he is the service rep who took over, explained state laws to me, and began exploring tire options for me. I always really appreciate the excellent customer service I receive from Matt.
