2027 GMC Sierra 1500 vs. Ford F-150: Power and Capability
The 2027 Ford F-150 remains a capable towing truck, with a 5.0-liter V8, a 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid, and a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that can tow up to 13,500 pounds when properly configured, and a new standard 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.
The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 answers with four powertrain choices: an enhanced TurboMax engine, an available 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel, plus all-new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines. Every Sierra powertrain uses a 10-speed automatic transmission. GMC calls its 6.6-liter the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class and the Duramax a class-exclusive diesel.
For Moorefield drivers who tow, haul, commute, and tackle West Virginia mountain roads, that range gives the GMC Sierra 1500 plenty of flexibility.
- Two all-new available V8 engines
